This chestnut side pole of 3.00 metres is the middle size in the chestnut range and the safe choice for most setups. It gives enough headroom along the edge without losing the fall in the fabric. Chestnut is untreated timber with the bark left on: every pole has its own curve and grain, and weathers grey outdoors on its own.
When do you choose 3.00 m?
3.00 metres sits between the two extremes. The 2.50 metre side pole gives more fall and a sharper tent shape, but you have to duck at the edges. The 3.50 metre side pole gives the most headroom, but the fabric runs flatter. If you are not yet sure how you will use the tent, 3.00 metres is the size that commits you least.
