A eucalyptus wood center pole is an excellent choice for your stretch tent. This 5.00 metre center pole is lacquered, creating the beautiful light brown colour that gives the pole an elegant appearance. Despite its light weight the pole is sturdy and able to carry heavy loads, which ensures reliability and stability.
What does a center pole do?
The center pole carries the ridge of your stretch tent and determines the height of the highest point. The height difference with the side poles determines how much fall the fabric gets, which matters for tight tension, the characteristic stretch tent shape and rainwater drainage. Of all the poles in your set-up, the center pole carries the heaviest load.
When do you choose the 5.00 metre center pole?
5.00 metres is our tallest eucalyptus center pole and is intended for large stretch tents and set-ups where you want maximum ridge height. The extra height creates an impressive, open space and gives plenty of fall in the fabric. Do bear in mind that a pole of this length is easiest to place with two people. Is a lower ridge enough? Then have a look at the 4.50 metre center pole or the 4.00 metre center pole.
