Description
A eucalyptus wood center pole is a beautiful choice for your stretch tent. This 4.00 metre center pole is carefully lacquered to preserve the rich light brown colour that gives the pole an elegant appearance. Despite its light weight the pole is sturdy and able to carry heavy loads, which makes for a reliable and durable solution.
What does a center pole do?
The center pole carries the ridge of your stretch tent and therefore determines the height of the highest point. The greater the height difference with the side poles, the more fall the fabric gets. That creates the tight, characteristic stretch tent shape and helps rainwater drain away. As a result the center pole carries the highest load of all the poles in your set-up.
When do you choose the 4.00 metre center pole?
4.00 metres is the shortest center pole in our range and suits smaller stretch tents and set-ups with lower side poles. The ratio between side and center poles determines the final shape of your tent. If you want more ridge height, have a look at the 4.50 metre center pole or the 5.00 metre center pole.
