Tensioned side walls for your stretch tent: with window, without window or mesh

Jim Oostdam |

Tensioned side walls close off one or more sides of your stretch tent. You stretch them with a rope along the bottom and the top of the tent. We have them with a transparent window, without a window and as mesh. They make your tent more comfortable: warmer on cold days and fewer draughts.

What all tensioned side walls have in common

  • They are 2.5 metres wide, 2.75 metres high and weigh 3 kg.
  • They are attached to the tent and you guy them with a rope along the bottom and top.
  • You decide which sides you close, to suit the weather and the type of event.
  • They are suitable for parties, weddings and corporate events.

Side wall with transparent window

Protects your guests against wind, rain and cold, and you simply look outside through the window. This is the side wall for when you want shelter without losing your view. The side wall is made of PVC.

Side wall without window

Protects against wind, rain and cold and gives extra privacy. This side wall is fully closed and made of PVC.

Mesh side wall

The mesh side wall works as a windbreak: it breaks wind and rain and keeps the view open.

How to fit a tensioned side wall

  1. Stretch a rope along the bottom and along the top of the tent.
  2. Hang the side wall in the rope. Clip the snap hooks to the loops of the side wall and hang them on the rope that way, at the bottom and at the top.
  3. Fix the top with the hook-and-loop strip of the side wall to the strip on the stretch tent, so the wall is closed.

For this you need rope, snap hooks and ground anchors. These are available separately.

Tensioned side wall or Frame side wall?

A tensioned side wall is attached to the tent and is guyed with ropes along the bottom and top. The Frame side walls are loose frames with uprights that stand loose in the tent. If you want that system, read our blog about the Stretch Tent Side Wall Frame.

Which one do you choose?

  • Want shelter and a view outside at the same time? Choose the side wall with transparent window.
  • Want privacy and a fully closed side? Choose the side wall without window.
  • Mainly want to break the wind and rain and keep the view open? Choose the mesh side wall.

You can choose per side, so you do not have to use the same side wall everywhere. Delivery time and availability are shown on the product. Not sure, or do you have questions about fitting and set-up? Get in touch with us. Also take a look at all side walls.
